Methane (CH₄) is a colorless, odorless natural gas that is used in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as power generation and chemical production. It is also a byproduct of many biological and geological processes, as well as fracking and gas drilling. Methane is highly flammable and produces carbon monoxide as a combustion byproduct. Thus, it requires constant monitoring, which can be performed using a quality CH₄ analyzer.
